Tilia Golden Sunset Screening Panel (Golden leaved Lime Tree) is a fine new introduction that was found by one of our directors. It has impressive almost flourescent bright coral red shoots and buds in winter and glowing lime/golden leaves in the spring which fade to a yellow leaves tinted with green in the summer. It is less vigourous than other varieties of red stemmed Tilia and has good branching. It has small yellow flowers in early summer which are excellent at attracting bees. They can be planted on its own, as part of a hedge and is especially good for pollarding and pleaching and the combination of the stem and leaf colours mean that it has all year round interest.
