Description
Laurel (Prunus lau. Novita) Screening Panel is an evergreen plant that has been trained to give aerial screening. Related to the Common Laurel or Cherry Laurel, this form will grow just as well but at a slightly slower pace making it much more suitable for use as a screening tree. This relatively recent selection of Common laurel was selected as it is hardier than the species. It has large dark green glossy leaves which are the perfect backdrop to the candle like white flower that are highly scented. These flower are followed by clusters of black berries. It is advisable to trim the flowers off when they go over to avoid getting the berries, by doing this you will encourage more growth and prevent berries falling on the floor as these berries can stain lighter coloured surfaces.
