Japanese Holly (Ilex crenata ‘Dark green’) Instant hedge is a low growing and slow growing evergreen hedge. It is a form of Holly but it has small Box like spineless leaves. It will grow in almost all soil types but it prefers well drained so avoid soils that can lie wet. It will grow on chalky or clay soils but it prefers a humus rich acidic soil to give the best results.
